"George Guest is an awesome drum teacher! We feel so lucky we found him! My son has been wanting to take lessons for quite some time but we've done this route with other instruments with a quick loss of interest so I wasn't moving fast on this. But, he pushed me and so we started looking for a local teacher and just stumbled upon George and Innerbeat Drum School...and thank goodness. George has a gentle demeanor with a definite expectation that is set early on with his students. Jack feels very comfortable with George and has a respect for him knowing that George has expectations of him. I did not run out and buy a drum kit right away and I appreciate George supporting our decision to wait and see if Jack was going to really take this seriously. When it came time for the drum kit, George was 'instrumental';-) in helping us navigate the used drum world and come up with the perfect kit for him! You can find many good drummers but, good teachers are very hard to find. George Guest is a very good teacher. He listens to his students, he watches every hand movement and then he gives you several tools which will help you improve. Being 21 years old, I was pretty apprehensive about signing up for drum lessons. Playing drums is something I really wanted to do, but I wasn’t sure about trying to learn a new instrument when I am almost out of college.
